Each pickguard is custom wired.
Designed to be sonically harmonious
Not all wiring configuration should be done, even though they can be. Dead Spots and thin sounds are annoying. Treble boosts don’t always match the pickups. Not all pickups play well with each other.
We take all of this into account when our pickguards are designed! We also consider how one switch interacts with another one. Make it easy, make it fun, make it a sonic paradise!Power at the source

Our designs don’t overload you with controls. They give you easy to use sound switching that shines in LIVE and RECORDING situations.

A collection of a just few of our custom modified Stratocasters. Many of these use Push Pull switches to make the “original” look of the Strat stay that way, other use Microswitches or a mix of both. It’s really personal preference, depending on if you want to preserve that original strat look or if you like that ease and hot rod look of a pickguard with Switches.

We will custom design a circuit and pickup selection to match to your needs. You may also find that you really dig one of Bruce’s “off the shelve” specifically design wiring schemes. You want it, you got it!
You can buy an online predesigned Stratocaster or Hot Rod Loaded Pickguard OR design your own modified one with Bruce’s assistance. You can even get a completely custom loaded pickguard from color to pickups your requested wiring scheme Bruce can do it. He definately can wire anything! Check out the circuit designs

This guy’s got the goods!! Prior to making a purchase I read his website and verified his statements and suggestions. I wasn’t looking for loud but quality that I can let the Little Walter Amp embellish. I found something close and sought Bruce’s input. Based on his answer we decided to swap out a capacitor and change the wiring. The change was made and sent out the next day. Read “QUALITY CUSTOMER SERVICE” The tone is exceptional. You can pay more money … but you can’t buy better quality. Thanks

My desire has always been to create FUN, high quality, flexible and intuitive wiring options for Stratocasters. I’ve designed my own circuits for years and worked on microprocessor design. It’s pure pleasure for me, but a lot of hard study and in the strat testing so hear what my EAR actually tells me beyond the measured values. I have been inspired by others like Leo and my own roots in live and studio work. I personally have design tested all my circuits to have no dead switch spots, Every position has flavor.
I’ve learned that players love the Traditional Stratocaster sound but yet want the switching to get more. So I maintained the typically keep those traditional settings but add switching to transform into a new Strat when you pull a switch or tweak a knob. Ultimately, I play every design. Over and Over. If I like it, it becomes one of my featured circuits; if not, I either tweak it again or toss it out. After years of being a “working mans musician” Bruce went into Electrical Engineering, Graduated, then started souping up his Stratocasters or his player friends guitars. Things really took off FAST when Bruce started giving out his designs to his player friends and very quickly it evolved into his business which became Gombrelli Guitars USA. The goal always was to create top shelf quality UNIQUE and flexable well designed Hot Wired Pickguards. Gombrelli Guitars products are made for the player and working musicians, and NOT created to see how many switches you could stick on your guitar. Instead, the goal was how well the switches worked together. Do the pickups blend well together, are they easy to use to get the sounds your looking for. The source of your sound is one of the best investments you can make.
